5 questions to ask yourself before a big decision
Big decisions have one thing in common: we turn them over and over without moving forward. These five questions help break the loop.
1. What am I really looking for? Behind “changing jobs” there is sometimes “being recognised” or “having more time”. Naming the real need often changes the decision.
2. What do I risk if I do nothing? We always weigh the risk of acting, rarely the risk of standing still. Both have a cost.
3. What is the smallest possible step? A decision feels lighter when you can test it: a conversation, a trial, a first move.
4. What would I advise someone I love? Stepping back quiets fear and puts common sense back in front.
5. A year from now, what will I be proud of? Projecting yourself forward helps tell what is urgent from what matters.
If one of these questions stops you, that is often where the real subject lies. It's exactly what we can work on together in an appointment.
